Briarwick 001 – 7 Inch Mushroom Dragon | Chaoslings

Some dragons hoard gold. Briarwick appears to have been claimed by the forest instead.

Briarwick 001 is a 7 inch mushroom dragon from the Chaoslings studio, individually hand-finished and transformed with layers of paint, weathering, fabric, moss, botanicals, feathers, fibers, metal and other mixed-media details.

His enormous crooked mushroom hat dominates the sculpture, covered in distressed fabric patches, stitching, moss and woodland growth. Feathers, dried botanicals, tiny butterflies and hanging metal details continue around the piece, while layered earthy color gives Briarwick the appearance of something that has been wandering the forest for a very long time.

There is no Moonspire beneath this one. Briarwick 001 was created as a larger statement sculpture and illuminates with the included flickering LED tea light, bringing warm light into the shadows beneath his oversized mushroom hat.

Every part of Briarwick 001 was finished individually in the Chaoslings studio, allowing the sculpture to evolve as materials and details were added.
